Alternative fuel vehicles help prevent air pollution because they don’t give off the harmful gases that are in car exhaust. This helps to prevent acid rain. It also helps people because they won’t breathe in chemicals that could be very harmful. It keeps our animals safer because harmful gases in exhaust can harm animals and trees. Then, the ecosystem will have trouble getting on. Here is a list of differtant alternative fuels :


ALCOHOLS: ethanol and methanol
CNG: natural gas under high pressure
ELECTRICITY: stored in batteries
HYDROGEN: a very speacial gas
LNG : cold natural gas
LPG : hydrocarbon gases under low pressure
